Millions of people from all around the world are interacting with video games in a whole new way: through a bookmaker for eSports called Unikrn. “When people ask what Unikrn does, I tell them we are a bookmaker for eSports, but ultimately we are eSports,” says Rahul Sood, CEO of Unikrn. Unikrn collects statistics and data for all of the major eSports, and creates odds on which players and spectators can bet against. Complete with sportscasters for play-by-play commentary, Unikrn’s eSport platform is compelling, even for the inexperienced video gamer or sports fan. Just two years ago, with the introduction of a completely free token called the Unikoin, Unikrn entered the U.S. market. “We built a giant global community around the Unikoin, and we turned over a quarter billion Unikoins in the last year and a half,” says Sood. So, where is the Unikoin headed now? It’s headed into the world of cryptocurrency, as both UnikoinSilver and UnikoinGold. Tune in to hear the details.

Sood also discusses:

  • The specific types and genres of games, as well as the different ways in which people can place bets
  • The ways in which eSports differ from fantasy sports, and the benefit of eSports when it comes to skills betting
  • How the new cryptocurrencies will work on a crypto-exclusive platform, including the ability to place micro-bets in real-time
